In early 2000, founding soror Rishona Campbell got word of a young multicultural sorority that was looking to expand while attending West Virginia University.  However, circumstances brought Rishona to the Pittsburgh, PA area to complete her studies.  Rishona and Delta Gamma Pi founding mother Diana Mitchell stayed in contact however, and in the spring of 2001 three women founded the Delta Epsilon chapter of the Delta Gamma Pi Multicultural Sorority, Inc.

#1 - Rishona "Tiger" Campbell

#2 Valarie "Sparkle" Coleman

#3 Pauline "Rosette" Wilson

The chapter remained active until the Spring of 2002.  In the ensuing years, the members graduated and the chapter went inactive.  In 2006, efforts went underway to establish the National Headquarters of Delta Gamma Pi to New York, NY.  In that process, the women of Delta Epsilon came in contact with each other again.  In addition, soror Rishona moved from Miami, FL back to the Pittsburgh, PA area in late 2007.

The Delta Epsilon chapter of Delta Gamma Pi is the only multicultural sorority in Southwestern Pennsylvania that is open to professional women and women who attend schools without an established Greek life system.  Our past members attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, Point Park University, and the Community College of Allegheny county.  Other potential members can be students of Chatham University, Carlow University, The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Triangle Tech, Pittsburgh Technical Institute or ITT Technical Institute.
