On November 11, 1998 in the realms of Western Maryland, an organization was created for those that are different, and aim to be that way. Those who did not want to be chosen for their looks, race or style, but wanted to be chosen for those that are true leaders, creative, openminded, smart, and anything they wanted to be. The founders of Delta Gamma Pi were three strong females of the new generation and called themselves "Charlie's Angels". These three women wanted all of those qualites and more in a sorority; so on a cold day on November 11, 1998, Delta Gamma Pi was born as a multicultural social and service organization. Letting the vows of sisterhood, justice, and honor take it's stride in the Greek World. On May 21, 2007, the National Headquarters of Delta Gamma Pi was relocated to New York. This inagurates in a new era for the sorority which combines the characteristics of diversity, professionalism, service and intellectualism. |

In early 2000, founding soror Rishona Campbell got word of a young multicultural sorority that was looking to expand while attending West Virginia University. However, circumstances brought Rishona to the Pittsburgh, PA area to complete her studies. Rishona and Delta Gamma Pi founding mother Diana Mitchell stayed in contact however, and in the spring of 2001 three women founded the Delta Epsilon chapter of the Delta Gamma Pi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. #1 - Rishona "Tiger" Campbell #2 Valarie "Sparkle" Coleman #3 Pauline "Rosette" Wilson
