Sign up for Fall Redd Ups

Clean Pittsburgh Stewards in more than 60 neighborhoods say their residents will be participating in Fall citywide Redd Ups. Most neighborhoods are cleaning up on the October 10-11-12 weekend. Others are doing Redd Ups on Saturday, October 18 in partnership with "Pitt Make A Difference Day" volunteers. A few neighborhoods are committed to other dates.

Neighborhood leaders and individual volunteers are asked to contact Citizens Against Litter, organizers, at 412-688-9120 or at boris.weinstein@verizon.net.

Redd up? What is it?

"Redd up" is another way of saying "tidy up" or "clean up" in Pittsburgh. It can be traced back to an old Middle English saying.
